MuyuWorks is the professional platform of Muyu Gu.
Muyu works across experimental biology, scientific data analysis, and reproducible technical communication. He earned a PhD in Biological Sciences from South Dakota State University in 2025, following a master’s degree in Grass Science and a bachelor’s degree in Grassland Science from Northwest A&F University.
His doctoral research investigated physiological and genetic aspects of root hydrotropism in maize. The work connected controlled experiments with image- and video-based phenotyping, R-based statistical analysis, scientific visualization, and genome-wide association analysis. Comparative research artifacts also document work with common bean and additional plant species.
This research context is evidence for a broader working pattern: translating scientific questions into measurable data, selecting quantitative methods, documenting analytical decisions, producing interpretable figures, and stating limitations clearly. MuyuWorks is being developed as a public home for that scientific-computing work, selected research evidence, and small research-facing tools.
